Check-in

Valet check-in software that captures every arrival in seconds

Replace clipboards and carbon-copy tickets with AI valet check-in: vehicle recognition, condition photos, and instant digital ticketing check a guest in under 30 seconds. No manual typing, no lost tickets.

How valet check-in software works

A runner points a phone at the arriving vehicle, and the plate, make, model, and color are captured automatically in seconds, no typing needed. A quick photo documents the car's condition before it's parked. A digital ticket is created on the spot, and the guest gets a tracking link right away. If they've checked in before, their profile, saved vehicles, and visit history show up automatically, so returning feels personal instead of starting over.

AI valet vehicle recognition

Point the camera at any vehicle and ValeKit reads the plate, make, model, color, and type automatically, with confidence scoring on uncertain reads. Powered by Google Gemini, it delivers automated plate recognition for operations of any size. Electric vehicles are flagged on the ticket, so the car goes to a zone you have marked for EV charging.

Condition photos at intake

Capture condition photos at intake with damage areas and severity grading, tied to the ticket with a timestamp, before the car leaves the curb. Fuel, odometer, and signature capture, standardized inspections, intake-vs-return comparison, and shareable reports? See Vehicle Inspection.

Ticketless digital valet check-in

Ditch the paper tickets and two-way radios. Create a complete digital valet ticket in a single tap: auto-generated ticket numbers with location prefixes, zone assignment, key slot capture, and pricing fields on one screen. Already using paper tickets? Scan existing barcodes and QR codes to bridge the transition. Purpose-built vehicle intake software that replaces manual data entry with a digital workflow from curb to lot. This rapid intake is why valet software for hospitals has to put speed and accuracy first, where an ER drop-off cannot wait on a clipboard.

Returning guest recognition

Your best customers shouldn't have to introduce themselves twice. A phone number lookup surfaces their full profile: visit count, total spend, previous vehicles, and VIP status. Vehicle details auto-fill from past visits so your valet confirms rather than types. Every check-in builds a richer guest profile, turning first-time visitors into regulars who feel remembered.

Guest SMS tracking & live updates

No more guests lingering at the podium asking "where's my car?" They receive an instant SMS with a live tracking link at check-in. The link opens a branded portal showing vehicle status, real-time timeline, and a one-tap retrieval button. No app download needed. Your front desk stops fielding status calls, and guests feel in control of their experience.

Works offline. Syncs automatically.

Underground garage, remote lot, dead zone: your operation doesn't stop. ValeKit stores every check-in, photo, and ticket locally on the device and syncs automatically when signal returns. No tickets lost, no data gaps, no excuses. Duplicate plate detection prevents double check-ins, and a complete audit trail logs every action with timestamps and operator identity, even fully offline.

Common questions

What happens if the camera can't read the plate?
The attendant types it in. Plate, make, model, color, and type are always editable, so a failed scan adds roughly 15 seconds of manual entry rather than blocking check-in.
Is check-in available on iOS and Android?
Yes. ValeKit is a React Native app (Expo) that runs on phones and tablets, with full feature parity on both platforms. Every capability works identically on iOS and Android: vehicle recognition, offline-first local storage, push notifications, barcode scanning, and photo capture. The app is the field half of the valet management software; managers run the same operation from the web dashboard. On devices with screens 600px or wider, the check-in form switches to a two-column tablet layout for faster data entry.
How is this different from Vehicle Inspection?
Check-in captures a vehicle's condition at the moment of intake. Vehicle Inspection adds standardized intake-and-return inspections, before-and-after comparison, shareable reports, and a searchable archive for disputes.
How does the AI vehicle recognition work?
ValeKit sends the camera frame to Google Gemini and gets back the plate number, make, model, color, and vehicle type in a single pass that takes under 3 seconds. Each field returns an independent confidence score between 0 and 1, so a clearly read plate can still flag an uncertain color for review. Recognition covers 50+ vehicle brands and eight vehicle types. Low-confidence readings prompt the attendant to retake the photo or correct the field with a single tap, so uncertain data is never recorded silently.
Does the app work in underground garages without signal?
Yes. ValeKit is built offline-first on PowerSync, which keeps an encrypted SQLite database on the device, so every check-in, photo, and ticket update is persisted locally the moment it is created. When connectivity returns, the local upload queue drains automatically and server changes stream back down. No manual action required. Duplicate plate detection runs against the local database, so the same vehicle cannot be checked in twice without a network connection. The only feature unavailable offline is Gemini vehicle recognition, which needs a network round-trip to Google. Ticketing, condition capture, and customer lookup all work fully without signal.
How long does a check-in take?
ValeKit is designed for a standard check-in in under 30 seconds, including the AI camera scan and a single confirmation tap to create the ticket. Automated license plate recognition auto-fills plate, make, model, color, and vehicle type in under 3 seconds, and returning guests are recognized through a phone number lookup with a 300ms debounced search. Adding condition photos with damage markers is designed to take roughly 30 seconds more. On tablets with screens 600px or wider, the two-column layout reduces data entry time further.
Can we use ValeKit alongside existing paper tickets?
Absolutely. The app scans Code128, Code39, and QR barcodes using the device's rear camera, so you can bridge your existing paper ticket system while transitioning to fully digital valet check-in software. Scanned ticket numbers are automatically linked to the corresponding digital record, giving you a searchable history even for paper-originated tickets. This hybrid approach lets you roll out ValeKit lane by lane or shift by shift. There is no requirement to go fully digital on day one. The only limitation is that paper tickets will not generate a guest tracking link unless the check-in is completed digitally in the app.
How does returning guest recognition work?
When an attendant begins typing a phone number, a debounced search (300ms) queries the customer database using normalized digit matching, so formats like 555-1234 and (555) 123-4000 both resolve correctly. If a match is found, the app instantly shows the guest's total visit count, lifetime spend, VIP status, and list of previous vehicles. Tapping a vehicle auto-fills plate, make, model, and color so nothing needs to be re-entered. If the guest arrives in a new vehicle, it is added to their profile automatically after check-in. Recognition works across all locations within the same tenant, so a guest who parks at your downtown hotel is also recognized at your airport location.
